The Circus is coming to Portage Park!!!

 

On October 9th and 10th 2010, Circus in the Parks will have four performances in our beautiful park. This is an event that you and your family will NOT want to miss!!!

 

The Midnight Circus is a whimsical assortment of acrobats, aerialists, clowns, contortionists and a dog providing delightful entertainment to all ages in an open air city park setting. Please join the magic and merriment while supporting your local park.

Tickets on sale now.

$15 per person (Children under 2 are free)

Portage Park retains ethnic roots, sense of community

The year was 1972, and then-teenager George Borovik was in his glory. The U.S. Olympic swim trials were being held at the Olympic-size pool at Portage Park, right in his own Chicago neighborhood.
