Portage Park Advisory Council

About Us

The purpose of  the Portage Park Advisory Council (aka Friends of Portage Park) shall be to provide advice and assistance to the Chicago Park District and/or other agencies on matter relating to concerns and needs of the Portage Park Community and all users of Portage Park.

Portage Park Advisory Council (PPAC) is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Friends of Portage Park shall meet its purpose by:

a. Determining the needs of the Portage Park community;
b. Working with the Chicago Park District to determine and establish programs to meet these needs;
c. Providing advice and counsel and an evaluation of the programs as they relate to community needs.

PPAC Meeting Schedule

PPAC holds monthly meetings the fourth Monday of the month at the Portage Park’s Senior Center (on the east side of the park). Meetings begin at 7:30 pm and last about an hour. All residents are encouraged to attend our meetings.
