Portage Park Advisory CouncilAbout UsThe purpose of the Portage Park Advisory Council (aka Friends of Portage Park) shall be to provide advice and assistance to the Chicago Park District and/or other agencies on matter relating to concerns and needs of the Portage Park Community and all users of Portage Park. Portage Park Advisory Council (PPAC) is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Playground Grand Opening Saturday, April 28 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Please join us for an afternoon of family fun! We are welcoming spring with an official grand opening ceremony, complete with ribbon cutting, family entertainment by Thaddeus Rex, face painting, balloon artists and a magician. Fun for the whole family. (In the event of inclement weather, the fun will move inside the gymnasium.)
Sing-A-Long Grease Sunday, June 10 1:00 p.m. Friends of Portage Park in cooperation with The Patio Theater, present: Sing A Long Grease! Get your poodle skirts and leather jackets out of the closet and tune up your singing voices. This is an event not to be missed, featuring a 50's and 60's car show as well as prizes for the best costumed Pink Lady and T-Bird and some other fun surprises. All proceeds benefit park improvements and events. Tickets can be purchased via www.brownpapertickets.com starting April 25 at 10AM. $10 adults, $6 kids, children 2 and under free. Tickets will be available at the door, but will cost $12 Adult and $8 Kids. This movie is rated PG. |
